Accumulation
Also called: accumulating, loading zone, institutional buying, building positions
When institutions are quietly building positions over weeks or months, visible as a stock going sideways on lighter volume while never really breaking down. The loading zone is where someone is accumulating while everyone else is bored, and when the stock finally breaks out from that accumulation it tends to run because there's real demand underneath, not just momentum chasers.
